Job Details:

• Title: Operating Room Surgical Technologist | Multi-Specialty OR
• Location: Manhattan, KS
• Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time
• Pay Range: $28.28-$48.38 per hour (based on experience) + Benefits
• No sign-on bonus or relocation assistance

 

Schedule:

• 8, 10, or 12-hour day shifts available
• Start time: 6:30 AM (6:00 AM arrival required for select first cases)
• 28, 32, 36, and 40-hour/week positions available
• Monday-Friday
• No weekends
• No on-call
• 7 paid holidays for eligible full-time and part-time employees

A busy multi-specialty surgical hospital in Manhattan, KS is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) to join a fast-paced, collaborative surgical team. The ideal candidate will have strong orthopedic experience and be comfortable preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile technique, assisting during procedures, and supporting room turnover and instrument management in a high-volume environment.

 

-> Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and surgical supplies for procedures
• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures while maintaining sterile technique
• Pull surgical cases and ensure all equipment is available and functioning
• Perform room turnover and terminal cleaning after procedures
• Assist with instrument processing and support Sterile Processing when needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and the perioperative team
• Maintain patient safety and follow infection prevention standards

 

-> Required Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• Strong orthopedic surgery experience required
• Experience with Zimmer and Arthrex instrumentation
• Ability to scrub a variety of specialties, including:
• • Orthopedics
  • ENT
  • Gynecology
  • Spine
  • Urology
  • Cataracts
  • General Surgery
• Team-oriented, flexible, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

 

-> Preferred Qualifications

• NBSTSA or NCCT certification
• Experience in a multi-specialty surgical hospital
• Ability to transition quickly between surgical specialties

 

Work Environment

• Six operating rooms
• Approximately 20 surgical cases per day
• Adult and pediatric procedures
• Strong orthopedic case volume, including total joints and sports medicine
• Collaborative team with shared responsibility for room turnover and instrument support
