Work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs. Highlights: \n \n High-volume, high-acuity Labor and Delivery unit with 500-600 deliveries per month and 31 beds \n Comprehensive perinatal services including 4 operating rooms for cesarean sections and high-risk deliveries \n Diverse patient population including midwifery clients, private OB patients, and Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery \n Opportunity to function as Baby Nurse during deliveries and provide complete newborn care through transfer to postpartum \n Six-month travel assignment with 40 hours of orientation and competitive compensation package \n First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience \n Requirements: \n \n Active Washington state RN license or Compact license \n Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required \n High-risk obstetric experience required; must be comfortable in fast-paced, high-acuity environments \n Required certifications: BLS, NRP \n Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate \n Epic electronic charting system experience required (hard stop) \n Electronic fetal monitoring experience required \n Must be able to circulate for cesarean sections (required skill) \n Must be able to function as Baby Nurse including newborn assessments, eye prophylaxis, and Vitamin K injections (required skill) \n Experience with high-risk medications including Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate \n Willingness to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and potentially sister facilities for Mother/Baby care \n Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years \n Why Join Us? \n This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Labor and Delivery nurse to work in a high-volume, high-acuity environment where your skills will be valued and challenged.
