Customer Quality Engineer

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to join our team in Woodridge, IL. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000 - $105,000 a year. What You’ll Do Monitor product shipments and field performance to drive investigations and root cause identification, assuring closed‑loop short‑term and long‑term corrective/preventive actions to: Improve warranty CONC performance and achieve divisional goals Improve product line field performance (DPPM) and achieve divisional goals Improve customer satisfaction Extract product performance data and maintain a failure information database including root cause, corrective, and preventive actions as a feedback loop to improve product quality Foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s financial and aspirational goals, encouraging continuous improvement through participation and teamwork Assist in facilitating and supporting company internal and external audits Maintain internal documentation control system of all company processes and procedures Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures and work procedures This role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution 3 years of Quality Engineering or related Engineering experience You will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following Master’s Degree from an accredited educational institution Six Sigma Belt (Green, Black) certified Statistical tools and methods (Minitab) ASQ CQE or CMQ/OE Certification Knowledge of design, validation, manufacturing, and test Knowledge of electrical power quality and distribution products and systems SAP experience Project Management experience Power BI experience We Will Not Consider Candidates Who No relocation assistance is available for this position. Ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills with the ability to lead projects across functions and organizations. Ability to work in a matrix organization, in virtual teams (across different locations), and cross‑cultural environments. Ability to effectively demonstrate verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask, complete projects with tight deadlines. Ability to communicate with internal and external customers in critical situations. Ability to support multiple teams and product lines across multiple locations. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
