Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit
• Discipline: RN
• Duration: 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12 hours
• Employment Type: Travel

Role: ICU RN (Critical Care)

Unit size: 7 ICU beds

Schedule

• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Guaranteed hours: 36/week
• Weekends/Holidays: Every other rotation
• On-call: None
• Call-back: Must report within 1 hour if needed

Requirements

• Minimum experience: 2 years ICU/Critical Care
• Skills: Strong ICU competency, resilient, adaptable, team-oriented
• Charting system: EPIC required
• Certifications:
  • Illinois RN license
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • NIHSS

Floating / Duties

• May float to:
  • ER (rare, with orientation if needed)
  • Med-Surg (more likely)
  • House Supervisor coverage (resource/support role)
• ICU patient ratio: 2:1

Important Restrictions

• No local candidates (within 40-mile radius not eligible)
• Must be flexible with floating and staffing needs
