Details PACU unit within a Level II Trauma Center following ASPAN standards Patient population includes pediatric (1yr), adult, and geriatric patients across same-day surgeries, in-patient admits, and observation cases Surgical specialties include vascular, general, orthopedic, pediatric, urology, gynecology, neuro/spine, podiatry, ophthalmology, thoracic, trauma, bariatric, ENT, oral, plastics, cardiovascular lab, and interventional radiology Shift schedule is 4x10 evenings, 10:30 AM-9:00 PM No weekend or on-call requirements Floating required, including between sister facilities Uses Epic for charting Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required BLS and ACLS certifications required Epic charting experience preferred Experience with pre/post-operative care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, and pain management Experience with conscious sedation, general, local, MAC, and nerve block anesthesia types preferred Experience obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG and pre/post cath lab or IR procedures preferred Experience with pacemaker insertion preferred 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Provide pre- and post-operative recovery care for a diverse surgical patient population Perform cardiac monitoring, pain assessment, medication reconciliation, and IV therapy as needed Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Scrubs of any color accepted except reddish orange Facility-paid parking provided First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius Former permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius Minimal RTO accommodated due to Auto Offer status American Traveler Job ID P-770154.
