Day To Day Responsibilities As a Surgery Scheduler and Preauthorization Specialist you efficiently schedule surgeries, manage insurance information, maintain accurate medical records, pre‑certify vascular procedures with insurance companies, tackle denied claims, and support cash payment conversions. You also ensure exceptional surgical services for our patients, collaborate with others, and maintain a friendly, professional demeanor. Qualifications High school diploma and a minimum of two years’ experience in preauthorization certification. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to multitask, detail‑oriented, HIPAA compliant, proactive team player. Knowledge and Skills Required Attention to detail for accurate data entry. Familiarity with CPT and ICD‑10 codes. Ability to prepare and maintain meticulous records files and correspondence independently. Effective verbal and written communication with patients and insurance companies. High school diploma required. Minimum 2 years’ experience in preauthorization certification. Skill in data entry with minimal errors. Ability to accurately prepare and maintain records files, reports and correspondence. Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment. Must successfully complete CME compliance training as required. BLS preferred. Maintain high patient privacy standards and HIPAA guidelines. Handle confidential information with discretion.
