Dental Hygienist

We are looking for an outgoing and friendly Dental Hygienist with strong interpersonal skills to join our fast-paced dental office. Experience is preferred, and a current dental hygienist license is required. We are seeking someone to cover three days per week, with the possibility of increasing days in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
• Properly sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection control standards
• Conduct initial oral health screenings and review patient health histories
• Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis
• Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g., remove plaque, apply fluoride)
• Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
• Provide post-treatment instructions following dental procedures
• Take dental X-rays and impressions as needed
• Assist dentists in selecting appropriate treatments for various oral health conditions
• Maintain accurate patient charts and documentation
• Monitor and maintain clinical supplies and equipment

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role preferred
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA compliance)
• Experience preparing, maintaining, and using dental equipment
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills
• Friendly, professional, and patient-focused attitude
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Diploma in Dental Hygiene (Master's degree is a plus)
• Valid Dental Hygienist license

Schedule:

• Part-time
• Three days per week
• Opportunity for additional days in the future

Compensation: $60–$70 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)
