Engineering Test Technician

Job Overview Seeking an Engineering Technician I – IV for laboratory expansion. Hiring expected throughout 2026. Responsibilities Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard. Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance. Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments. Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions. Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times. Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations. Communicate effectively with laboratory and project teams. Obtain forklift training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications. Perform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirements. Create records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory procedures. Improve laboratory activities continuously. Implement corrective and preventative actions. Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and facilities. Provide direction, assistance, and training to other technicians (senior roles only). Skills HVAC Engineering Troubleshooting Electrical Mechanical Qualifications Associate’s degree in HVAC&R or related field. Experience related to mechanical test lab or field service (preferred). Forklift training/license, man lift training/license, universal card, or R410a card (preferred). Mentorship experience (preferred). Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location Contract to Hire based in Minneapolis, MN. Fully onsite. Pay and Benefits Pay range: $23.65 – $50.77 per hour.
