Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students as a Paraprofessional specializing in behavior support for the 2026-2027 academic year. This rewarding contract opportunity is located onsite near Auburn, WA, and involves working closely with students with a range of behavioral needs, particularly those in self-contained classrooms. Candidates with a background or interest in supporting Native American communities are especially encouraged to apply.

Ideal Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar school support role
• Comfortable working with students exhibiting severe behavioral challenges
• Background in self-contained classroom environments preferred
• CPI certification strongly preferred, or willingness to obtain promptly
• Understanding of or interest in Native American cultures and communities is a plus
• Adaptability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to student growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver consistent, compassionate classroom and student support on a full-time, onsite basis (37.5 hours per week)
• Follow behavior intervention plans and apply de-escalation techniques as needed
• Foster a safe, inclusive atmosphere that respects student backgrounds and needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and school teams to promote student progress
• Maintain detailed documentation and help with data collection, contributing to intervention planning
• Support classroom management and assist with daily activities tailored to individual student needs
