The Sterile Process or must demonstrate good knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic techniques, must have knowledge of equipment, instruments, procedures and supplies used in the operating room. The Sterile Process or must be able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact and endurance. This position must provide on-going and continual communication with Operating Room staff, including communicating special equipment needs as they arise. The Sterile Process or must also monitor the daily schedule for changes in instrumentation. Skills & Abilities: Able to work independently and met established deadlines. Ability to make sound reasonable decisions Highly organized Ability to concentrate on many detailed requests despite numerous interruptions. Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative Ability to identify and calmly handle inherently stressful situation with tact.
