Smith Personnel is currently hiring for general labors for a grain company in the North Fort Worth area

Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Receive, direct, and unload grain trucks and railcars using dump pits and lift systems
2. Climb ladders and stairs to access bins, silos, and equipment platforms
3. Operate conveyors, augers, legs, and bucket elevators to move grain
4. Open and close slide gates to control grain flow
5. Shovel, sweep, and vacuum spilled grain and debris
6. Load outbound trucks and railcars to proper weight limits
7. Maintain clean pits, tunnels, and work areas to prevent hazards
8. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
9. Follow fall protection requirements
10. Assist with facility repairs and seasonal maintenance projects
11. Report mechanical issues or safety concerns to supervisors

Requirements:

Must be able to work in non climate-controlled area, and the dust can be irritating to people who are sensitive to allergies or have respiratory issues. (Must be able to work in the outside elements)

1. Must be comfortable using a belt-style manlift to position employees throughout the facility ( Must not be afraid of heights)
2. Able to lift 40-50lbs bags of grain
3. Must be able to pass Everify
4. Background case by case no theft or violence
5. Able to pass drug test

For the next few weeks, we are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day. Once harvest is over we will return to standard hours. Employees can start at either 6:45am to 3:30pm, or 10:30am to 7:00pm. Overtime is available, and we split weekend days, so everyone gets the opportunity to have one day off.

Pay: $16.00
