Our mission is to bring clarity and transformation to safety, security, and communication through integral technology and radical service.With a commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence, Pavion ensures scalable, future-ready solutions tailored to meet and exceed our clients' needs.Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Security Installation Technician to join our security business unit.Primary Responsibilities:Security System Installation: Assist in the installation and configuration of physical security systems, including cameras (CCTV), access control systems, alarm systems, and other related security technologiesCable Pulling and Management: Pull and route low-voltage cables (including network, power, and video cables) to support security systems installation. Ensure that cables are neatly organized, labeled, and meet all relevant safety and quality standardsSystem Integration: Work with the installation team to ensure the smooth integration of security equipment with other systems within the data centerInstallation Support: Help with the physical installation of cameras, access control panels, alarm systems, and other security devices. This includes mounting equipment, connecting power and data cables, and performing initial power-upsConduit & Tray Work: Install and secure electrical conduit and cable trays to house and route security system cabling according to blueprints and design specificationsTroubleshooting: Assist in identifying and troubleshooting any issues related to security system installations, cabling, or connectivityCollaboration with Other Trades: Work closely with electricians, network specialists, and other trades during the construction process to ensure coordination of installation activitiesAdherence to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety regulations and procedures while on the job site. Ensure that work is done safely, particularly when handling tools and electrical componentsDocumentation: Assist in maintaining accurate installation records, including the routing and labeling of cables, installed devices, and system configurationsQuality Control: Ensure that all installations meet company and industry standards for quality and security, following detailed blueprints and project specificationsBasic Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required.2-5 years of experience in installing security systems or working with low-voltage cablingPrior experience with cable pulling, conduit installation, and other electrical workValid drivers license and acceptable driving recordKnowledge of low-voltage systems, including how to pull, route, and terminate cables for security systemsBasic understanding of electrical safety, tool usage, and security system componentsPreferred Qualifications:Additional technical training or certifications in low-voltage electrical work or security systems installation (e.g., NICET, CompTIA Security+, etc.)Experience in new construction or data center environmentsFamiliarity with the installation of security technologies such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systemsAbility to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and security system designsAbility to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 lbs)Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated positions, and in construction environmentsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work efficiently and effectively in a team environmentGood communication skills to coordinate with other team members and supervisorsCompensation range: $25-$33/hr based on experience.Pavion is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
