Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnose medical conditions within the urgent care scope.
• Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests, including X-rays, lab results, and EKGs, ensuring prompt care based on findings.
• Triage patients efficiently to maintain a steady flow of care and minimize wait times.
• Perform essential procedures such as digital blocks, minor surgical interventions like wound closure and foreign body removal, and joint injections.
• Start IV fluids and manage closed reductions for simple fractures or dislocations.
• Educate patients on health management, preventive care strategies, and follow-up treatments.
• Monitor and manage ongoing patient care during shifts, addressing daily tasks and facilitating seamless patient callbacks.
• Provide leadership within the clinic by serving as the sole provider, guiding advanced practice clinicians through consultation and mentoring.
• Contribute to the operational excellence of the clinic, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be responsible for providing holistic care to a diverse patient population, including infants, children, adults, and seniors. You will engage with patients experiencing a range of urgent health needs, focusing on swift diagnosis and effective treatment to improve health outcomes significantly.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Florida, along with national certification.
• Possession of an unrestricted medical license within the practicing state.
• Current DEA certification and a controlled substance license.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related setting.
• Availability to work at least two full weekends per month.
• An MSN degree or equivalent (BSN plus additional qualifications).
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with advanced procedures, such as orthopedic management and minor surgical techniques.
• Familiarity with a collaborative multi-disciplinary team approach.
• Proficiency in digital and telemedicine platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role is competitive, with a salary range of USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
