Biller / Collector Lead

Responsibilities Kforce's client in Irwindale, CA is seeking an experienced Revenue Cycle Lead to serve as a subject matter expert and team lead within the Revenue Cycle department. This individual will support daily operations, coach and train staff, monitor productivity, and partner with internal teams and payers to improve revenue cycle performance and maximize reimbursements. Lead and support revenue cycle staff by providing training, coaching, and workflow guidance Monitor work queues, productivity, and account resolution activities Analyze denials, underpayments, and payment variances to identify root causes and process improvements Partner with payers, providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing and reimbursement issues Review high‑risk accounts, credits, adjustments, refunds, and outstanding claims Track revenue cycle trends and develop recommendations to improve collections and operational performance Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, government regulations, and organizational policies Assist with onboarding, training materials, and ongoing staff development Requirements 7+ years of medical billing, collections, or revenue cycle experience Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medi‑Cal, and commercial payer guidelines Experience resolving denials, appeals, underpayments, and reimbursement issues Proficiency with ICD‑10, CPT, and HCPCS coding concepts Experience reviewing EOBs, remittance advice, and claims data Proven ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple competing priorities Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills Preferred Qualifications Prior lead, team lead, or supervisory experience within Revenue Cycle Experience with physician/professional billing environments Associate's or Bachelor's degree Experience with practice management systems and Epic or similar revenue cycle platforms Advanced Excel and reporting skills The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
