Registered Nurse - PreOp

Job Summary: Seeking a highly skilled PreOp Registered Nurse to provide exceptional perioperative care. This role involves preparing patients for surgery, monitoring throughout procedures, and ensuring safe recovery post-operation. Responsibilities: Assess patients' health status and obtain relevant medical histories prior to surgery. Verify surgical consent, correct patient identification, and necessary documentation. Prepare operating rooms, including sterilization and setup of required equipment. Monitor and respond to patient vital signs and comfort levels during procedures. Document all nursing actions, patient responses, and interventions accurately in EPIC. Collaborate with surgical team to ensure seamless patient care and safety. Qualifications: Hold a valid CA RN license with current certification. Maintain BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with expiration dates valid through contract duration. Demonstrate at least 2 years of perioperative nursing experience. Possess EPIC electronic medical record system experience. Be able to pass criminal background and work history verification.
