Key facts Location: Bremerton, Washington Engagement: Full-time Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience Visa: Sponsorship available for qualified candidates What you'll do Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans for construction projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to assess compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to establish quality benchmarks and ensure that all work meets or exceeds these standards. Prepare detailed reports on quality control findings, including non-conformance issues, corrective actions, and recommendations for process improvements. Lead training sessions for staff and subcontractors on quality control procedures, emphasizing the importance of quality in construction practices. Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and develop strategies for continuous improvement in project execution. Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries and concerns from clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Ensure that all quality control documentation is maintained accurately and is readily accessible for review by internal and external parties. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to enhance the company's quality control processes. Foster a culture of quality awareness among all team members, promoting accountability and proactive problem-solving. Participate in project meetings to provide insights on quality-related issues and contribute to project planning and execution strategies. Coordinate with the safety team to ensure that quality control measures align with safety protocols and standards. Requirements Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards. Proven ability to conduct inspections, audits, and assessments effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams. Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in quality management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and standards, such as ISO 9001 or similar. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Nice to have Certification in quality management (e.g., CQI, CQM, or equivalent) is a plus. Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies or other continuous improvement frameworks. Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to construction. Previous experience in a managerial role overseeing quality control teams.
