Senior SNAP Eligibility Specialist

Seeking a full-time remote Senior SNAP Eligibility Specialist, the role will manage complex eligibility cases, support compliance efforts, and ensure timely benefit determinations in accordance with federal and state regulations. Key responsibilities Receive, assess, and screen applications while proactively communicating with clients to gather necessary information Validate and calculate income, assess eligibility, and manage case referrals Engage regularly with program participants and educate clients on program services and eligibility requirements Required qualifications High school diploma or GED required, with 0-2 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent education and experience Experience handling high-volume caseloads and complex eligibility determinations Prior experience processing SNAP benefits in a state, county, or government contractor environment preferred Experience supporting additional public assistance programs such as Medicaid or TANF preferred Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
