Job Overview
This role involves executing computerized imaging tasks while demonstrating proficiency with all relevant equipment and monitoring systems. You will provide assistance to both patients and physicians as required.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct computerized imaging procedures effectively.
- Utilize and maintain imaging equipment and monitors.
- Support patients and healthcare professionals as needed.
- Mandatory: High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Proficient in computer software with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
- Capable of offering both physical and emotional support to patients, considering their limitations during screenings.
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
- One of the following combinations of licenses and certifications is required:
- Combination 1:
- FL DOH License: General Radiographer or Radiologist Assistant.
- Certification: ARRT (R) Radiography.
- Must obtain ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography within one year of hire or transfer.
- Combination 2:
- FL DOH License: Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Certification: ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine Technology or NMTCB, and ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.
- Combination 3:
- FL DOH License: Radiation Therapy Technologist.
- Certification: ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy and ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.
- Combination 4:
- FL DOH License: General Radiographer, Radiologist Assistant, or Computed Tomography.
- Certification: ARRT (R) Radiography and ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography.
- Required: Less than one year of experience in computerized imaging (CT, X-ray, nuclear medicine, or radiation therapy) or completion of a post-secondary CT certification program.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in radiology within Diagnostic Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, or MRI, along with graduation from a post-secondary CT certification program or one year of CT imaging experience.
The position may involve working in various clinical settings, requiring adherence to safety protocols and patient care standards.
