Product Liability Litigation Associate

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Salary Range: $205,000 – $235,000

A national litigation team is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Los Angeles office. The practice focuses on product liability and complex civil litigation, representing clients in the automotive, medical device, and consumer products industries.

This is an excellent opportunity for a litigator seeking meaningful responsibility, hands-on case management, and exposure to sophisticated defense work in both state and federal courts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

• Draft and argue motions in California state and federal courts

• Manage written discovery, depositions, and expert witness coordination

• Participate in hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations

• Prepare cases for trial and work closely with clients on litigation strategy

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex product liability matters

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of civil litigation experience

• Product liability experience preferred, particularly involving automotive, medical device, or consumer products matters

• Strong understanding of California and federal civil procedure

• Excellent legal writing, research, and advocacy skills

• Ability to independently manage assignments and take ownership of cases

• California Bar admission required and in good standing

• Appellate experience is a plus
