Planning Analyst

Planning Analyst Collaborate with Innovative 3Mers Around the World. This role provides an opportunity to transition from private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. The Impact You'll Make in this Role The person hired will join the 3M Guin facility located in Guin, AL and support production planning operations. The role involves managing end‑to‑end supply chain to meet customer requirements and supply chain metrics. Primary Responsibilities Manage the supply plan by purchasing raw materials, scheduling production and managing finished good inventory across multiple manufacturing areas. Coordinate with other 3M locations, external suppliers, and various business teams to meet service, cost, and inventory targets. Develop and maintain operating rhythms to ensure smooth supply chain operations, aligning supply with demand. Provide planning analysis to support decision making. Publish and present service and inventory metrics, results, and gap analysis. Actively manage working and non‑working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets. Identify and implement supply chain process improvement projects. Participate in business transformation readiness activities and projects as assigned. Your Skills and Expertise Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start). Two (2) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain from an accredited institution. Four (4) years of experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, production, and/or customer service in a private, public, government or military environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience with Manufacturing Execution and/or Planning System (e.g., SAP). APICS CPIM certification (preferred). Six Sigma Green Belt experience or certification. Experience in Lean Scheduling or Lean Manufacturing. Experience with Microsoft VBA macros, SQL, MS Cloud Apps (Teams, SharePoint, Power BI). Location and Travel Work location: On‑site at 3M Guin, AL. Travel: May include up to 5% domestic. Relocation Assistance May be authorized. Compensation and Benefits The expected compensation range for this position is $84,595 - $103,394, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible.
