Advanced Radiologic Technologist - FT (Ardmore) (Hiring Immediately)

Find your calling at Mercy! Position Details: The Advanced Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, upholding high-quality imaging standards, and maintaining accurate records and documentation of procedures and findings. Effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential for providing optimal care. Operates all relevant advanced imaging equipment with expertise and precision, captures high-quality diagnostic images consistently across various machines, and reviews and verifies images for clarity and completeness before submission for interpretation. Prepares, positions, and transfers patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any concerns, and providing radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards. Administers contrast media under a physician's direction and within the Radiology Department/Health System policies' guidelines. Monitors imaging equipment for unsafe conditions and performs routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment. Submits requests for equipment and/or technology needs and sees them through to resolution. Manages and updates images and patient records completely and accurately in PACS (picture archival communication system) Schedules radiology examinations correctly. Charges for supplies used accurately. Performs clerical duties, as needed. Assists with QA initiatives Assists with clinical rotations, as applicable. Other duties as assigned. Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours. Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice. Certification/Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Radiography (ARRT(R)); Basic Life Support (BLS). Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Proficiency in operating radiographic imaging equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
