This role focuses on delivering technically sound, innovative solutions to medium‑complexity engineering problems while balancing customer requirements, technical risk, and manufacturing scalability. You will work closely with external customer‑facing teams and internal cross‑functional development partners to translate system architecture concepts into high‑volume, manufacturable products.Design and develop automated industrial equipment and electro‑mechanical systems for advanced SLT applicationsSynthesize requirements from multiple stakeholders into clear engineering tradeoffs, concepts, and system architecturesCollaborate cross‑functionally with Product Marketing, Applications, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and global engineering teamsContribute to the development of mechanical and electro‑mechanical assemblies including structures, cables, PCBAs, and precision mechanismsDrive solutions that support robotic test head manipulation, docking/clamping systems, and standardized test interfacesEngage with suppliers and global manufacturing partners to deliver cost‑effective, scalable designsApply sound engineering rigor to ensure safe, reliable, and failsafe system operationInfluence long‑term roadmaps by contributing technical expertise, innovative ideas, IP, and best practicesAll About YouWe seek individuals who share our passion and determination. If you’re ready to join us in this mission, take a closer look at the minimum criteria for the position.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, with 10+ years in machine design; System Level test or manufacturing equipment experience preferredStrong ability to independently design, analyze, and test medium‑complexity electro‑mechanical systems and assembliesDeep expertise in mechanical design fundamentals including FEA, tolerancing, precision alignment, actuators, bearings, sensors, materials, and drawingsHigh proficiency in SolidWorks; experience with PDM, ERP/MRP, and enterprise engineering systemsProven capability to rapidly conceptualize ideas and communicate design intent to customers, cross‑functional teams, and suppliersSelf‑motivated, detail‑oriented engineer with a disciplined approach and strong collaboration and communication skillsWe are only considering candidates local to the position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.Compensation:The base salary range for this role is $121,700 - 194,700. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
