You will analyze and communicate key drivers and variances to leadership, respond to ad-hoc requests, and partner with many facets of this organization to solve complex and open-ended problems. Success in this role requires flexibility to reprioritize quickly, critical thinking ability to solve complex problems and improve existing processes as the organization evolves, and accountability for delivering high-quality, timely outcomes.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities:Support month end membership process from end to endPrepare analysis of monthly results against forecast & budgetFacilitate in forecasting, long-term planning, and all financial calendar deliverablesClearly communicate analysis and variances to leadershipPrepare ad-hoc requests as necessary across organizationDemonstrate flexibility to seamlessly reprioritize and pivot on deliverablesDevelop innovative approaches to solving problemsDemonstrate high degree of accountabilityWorks with less structured, more complex issuesCollaborate in matrix environmentYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:3+ years of financial planning & analysis, accounting, or related finance rolesSolid understanding of accounting principles and financial systemsIntermediate or higher level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office productsProven solid communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholdersProven analytical, problem-solving skillsProven ability to succeed in a virtual work environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Hyperion EssbaseBasic or higher level of knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and AI toolsProven ability to institute new processes and build financial models*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
