Executive Housekeeper

A wonderful family in the Princeton, NJ area is seeking an experienced Full-Time Housekeeper to join their household long-term. They are looking for someone who truly enjoys caring for a home and takes pride in keeping everything clean, organized, and running smoothly.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and energetic, with previous experience working in a high-end private residence. This family is looking for someone who is warm and personable while still understanding professionalism, discretion, and boundaries within a private home. Someone who sees what needs to be done and takes initiative without waiting to be asked will be a great fit!

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm - flexibility with start and end times

Compensation & Benefits: $40/hour DOE, W-2 employment, 40 hours guaranteed per week, Paid vacation, Paid holidays, Paid sick time. Annual discretionary bonus, Mileage reimbursement or use of a family vehicle for work-related driving

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily housekeeping and detailed cleaning throughout the residence, maintaining a consistently high standard of cleanliness
• Manage household laundry, linens, ironing, and proper care of garments
• Maintain organization of closets, cabinets, pantries, and storage areas
• Properly clean and care for fine furnishings, surfaces, china, silver, glassware, and other household items
• Monitor household supplies and assist with restocking as needed
• Run household errands, pickups, and other local tasks
• Receive packages and deliveries and assist with welcoming guests and household vendors
• Assist with the care of the family's two small dogs, including additional support when the family is traveling
• Provide occasional local transportation for the family's two middle-school-aged children
• Assist with household entertaining, parties, holiday preparation, and seasonal projects
• Communicate with the family regarding household needs and proactively address items requiring attention

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous professional housekeeping experience within a high-end private residence
• Excellent knowledge of household cleaning, organization, and proper care of fine items
• Proactive, self-directed, and able to manage responsibilities independently
• Strong attention to detail and consistently high standards
• Warm, friendly, and service-oriented while maintaining professional boundaries
• Discreet, dependable, trustworthy, and respectful of the family's privacy
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Comfortable with friendly dogs
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Excellent professional references
• Willing to complete background and driving-record checks
