Paramedic - Full Time

Responsibilities Provide advanced life support care to patients who are ill and/or injured. Transport and transfer patients, assess illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures, administer artificial respiration or oxygen in cases of suffocation or asphyxiation, dispense antiseptic solution to prevent infection, start and administer intravenous fluids, and perform other emergency medical procedures during the ambulance ride. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and reports to the manager. Qualifications Must be 18 years old and able to provide a current Utah Driver’s License and Utah State Paramedic Certification. CPR Healthcare Provider/BLS, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certifications required within 30 days of hire. Two years of EMS experience and familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within EMS preferred.
