May escort patients to other areas.Participates in continuing education activities by attending in-service sessions, department meetings, workshops, reading magazines or journals on patient care and demonstrates knowledge gained into current work practices.Maintains, updates, and utilizes knowledge of cleanliness, infection control, safety, supplies and equipment usage to optimize customer care and services. Monitors conditions of patient environment and equipment, i.e. wheelchairs, scales, floor conditions, and corrects the condition and/or reports the deficiencies or defects for immediate correction as appropriate.Job Accountabilities:Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the area. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding.
