This position will be in Huntsville, AL. Position Overview: The selected Systems Engineer will be a part of the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) product line under the Architecture and Delivery (A&D) Integrated Product Team. Through this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the cornerstone of The Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) layered missile defense architecture and advance a 60+ year mission to defend our homeland. You'll develop systems engineering products that directly support the design and development of GWS (Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS)) capabilities on behalf of The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Learn more about our mission here: Ground-Based Midcourse System | Northrop Grumman Essential Functions: Develop Verification Compliance Strategizes that detail how we plan to verify derived requirements and what data is required to provide the evidence. Evaluate Customer Requirements to ensure full decomposition and traceability. Own requirement or verification packages, and hold reviews and adjudicating comments from Product Teams, SMES, and the Customer to baseline Packages in DOORS. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM and 0-2 years of related work experience. Applicants must have a current, active in-scope U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes Experience with requirements decomposition, requirements management, or verification efforts. Verification experience or knowledge Preferred Qualifications: Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS Experience with Requirement Verification methods Experience with Test GMD Knowledge Demonstrated independent planning, organization, and working in cross-functional teams with a customer focus Understanding of the Systems Engineering V-Model Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools Experience with Agile Development INCOSE or System Engineering certification Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
