Maintenance Technician

Apartment Maintenance TechnicianWe're looking for a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to help maintain the overall condition, safety, and appearance of our apartment community. This is a hands-on role responsible for completing service requests, supporting unit turns, and ensuring residents have a safe and comfortable place to live.What You'll DoComplete daily service requests including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairsAssist with unit turns, including repairs, inspections, and getting apartments move-in readyPerform preventative maintenance on equipment and building systemsMonitor the community for safety issues and address them quicklyMaintain grounds as needed, including trash pickup and general upkeepTroubleshoot and repair items such as doors, locks, fixtures, lighting, and flooringAssist with pool maintenance and common area upkeepHelp move appliances and equipment as neededTrack inventory and report supply needsWork with the team to meet deadlines and maintain community standardsParticipate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergenciesWhat We're Looking ForAt least 1 year of maintenance experience (apartment or related field preferred)Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable, with a strong sense of ownership and urgencyValid driver's license and reliable transportationWork EnvironmentCombination of indoor and outdoor work in all weather conditionsPhysically active role (lifting, climbing, bending, etc.)Full-time schedule with an on-call rotation for after-hours emergenciesWhy Choose UDC?Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Johnson City, Tennessee, UDC is a premier real estate development, construction, and management firm.
