Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Varies slightly by day)

At Synergy Lifestyle Center , we are redefining cardiac care. As an outpatient Intensive Cardiac Rehab (ICR) center implementing the evidence-based Dean Ornish "Undo It" Program , we empower patients to not just manage, but actively REVERSE heart disease —and potentially other chronic conditions—through four pillars of lifestyle medicine: Exercise, Stress Management, Community, and Nutrition.

Our program runs in 9-week cohorts (groups of participants who journey through the program together on either M/W or T/Th schedules). Each 4-hour session provides a holistic, hands-on experience:

• Exercise: 1 hour with our Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologists
• Stress Management: 1 hour with our Certified Yoga Instructor
• Community: 1 hour of Group Support with our Licensed Mental Health Counselor
• Nutrition: 1 hour with YOU —featuring a whole-food, plant-based meal alongside an interactive educational lecture.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate, forward-thinking Registered Dietitian (RD) to lead the Nutrition pillar of our transdisciplinary team. In this role, you won't just teach dietary guidelines—you will inspire lifelong transformation. You’ll guide patients through plant-based nutrition education, deliver personalized coaching, and oversee high-quality culinary offerings that prove healthy eating is both attainable and delicious.

Key Responsibilities

Nutrition Education & Experiential Coaching

• Deliver interactive lectures and cooking/mealtime education aligned with the Ornish Reversal Program guidelines.
• Host baseline nutrition consultations to assess clinical/psychosocial needs and establish tailored adherence goals.
• Join participants during catered meal sessions to foster community, answer questions, and reinforce healthy habits.
• Provide 1-on-1 nutritional counseling and ongoing motivational coaching to help participants overcome barriers.

Clinical & Interdisciplinary Oversight

• Review assessment data, track weekly nutritional adherence, and document progress in alignment with program standards.
• Collaborate closely with our transdisciplinary team (physiologists, counselors, physicians) during weekly case reviews.
• Support participant safety by identifying food allergies and partnering with food services for customized meal planning.

Foodservice & Operations Leadership

• Oversee site foodservice operations to guarantee all meals strictly align with the program’s whole-food, low-fat, plant-based recipe guidelines.
• Ensure highest standards of food quality, safety, and menu execution.

What You Bring

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required (Master’s degree preferred).
• Credentialing: Registered Dietitian (RD) with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) accreditation and active Florida licensure.
• Food Safety: ServSafe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience: 1+ years in a food service or clinical nutrition environment preferred.
