SUMMARY

The Wire Processing Technician – Entry Level position supports the production team by preparing wire used in oil filled cable process. This is an entry-level manufacturing role and no prior experience or specialized skills are required. Training will be provided. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, willing to learn new processes, and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assisting with wire preparation activities to support production operations and ensure quality standards are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate and program wire processing equipment, including Schleuniger machines Load and set up wire materials in equipment to measure, cut and strip wire Collect and organize cut wire materials Verify wire lengths and accuracy according to work instructions Remove insulation from designated wire ends Pre-tin wires using solder pot equipment Apply identification number flags using Brady labeling equipment Twist wires together into twisted pairs as needed Install wires into Tygon tubing as needed Place completed wire preparations into designated job totes Transact M1 operations Follow all company quality standards, safety procedures, and production requirements Maintain a clean and organized work area #J-18808-Ljbffr BIRNS, Inc.
