Technical Product Owner - Contract - Remote - $65.00 - $73.00/hr.

Our client is seeking Technical Product Owner for a Remote Opportunity.

Role Description

The Technical Product Owner will participate to build the product roadmap and own components of the backlog within one of the domain teams responsible Pharmacy Modernization.
This is a unique role that leverages the ability to combine business and technology acumen to operate as a detail-oriented expert. The role will work closely with application subject matter experts and IT colleagues to facilitate a strong relationship to bring the vision and strategy to life through clear prioritization and value proposition for Pharmacy Modernization. You will be tasked with developing a deep understanding of the business and business needs to ensure requirements are accurately captured, communicated to key stakeholders, and prioritized appropriately on the product roadmap. Additionally, a successful candidate is one that embraces change and suggests out of the box solutions that will optimize new business processes in support of our overall goal of modernizing the Pharmacy systems.
• Participates in the development a product roadmap that outlines the strategic direction and key milestones - prioritize features to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), ensuring stakeholder alignment and visibility throughout the period.
• Creates, prioritizes, and maintains the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the needs of stakeholders and users.
• Defines product requirements, writing clear and actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
• Acts as a primary point of contact between stakeholders (e.g., customers, business leaders, and development teams) to gather requirements and feedback.
• Facilitates discussions to understand stakeholder needs and expectations.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Develops controls and standard operating procedures to create efficiency and structure within the application.
• Advocate for the end-user by ensuring that the product meets user needs and provides a positive user experience.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and effective product interfaces.
• Partners with Architecture to create technical features that are required to continuously optimize system components and underline infrastructure maintenance.

Skills & Requirements
• 5 - 7 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or a related role within an IT or software development environment.
• 3+ years of experience working in Agile environments, particularly with Scrum or Kanban methodologies - familiarity with Agile practices and ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and understand technical constraints.
• Proficient in facilitating discussions and negotiations among diverse groups
• Strong analytical skills to gather, interpret, and synthesize information from various sources.
• Ability to identify user needs and translate them into actionable product features.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on business value and user needs.
• Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Rally, Confluence).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Professional work experience in healthcare industry.
• A strong focus on user experience and understanding of user-centered design principles - experience in conducting user research and usability testing.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Results oriented with ability to keep others on task to meet defined goals.
• Experience building and facilitating presentations to various audiences.
• Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), or similar credentials can be advantageous.
