Earth Science Lecturer (9M)

Job Title: Earth Science Lecturer (9M) Location: Lima campus of The Ohio State University (Lima, Ohio). We seek a 9‑hour lecturer to teach one lecture and one lab course in the Autumn Semester 2026 and one lecture course in the Spring Semester 2027. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the teaching mission of The Ohio State University and experience teaching undergraduate lecture and lab courses. Courses Autumn Semester 2026: EARTHSCI 1105 – Geology of the National Parks EARTHSCI 1200 – Introductory Earth Science Lab Spring Semester 2027: EARTHSCI 2205 – The Planets Required Qualifications Doctoral degree in Earth Sciences or a related field Evidence of expertise in effective undergraduate teaching At least 5 years of teaching experience at the college level and prior experience developing courses Preferred Qualifications Prior teaching experience at The Ohio State University, a land‑grant university, or a regional campus Position Type: Regular Scheduled Hours: 13.3 Shift: First Shift Benefits Eligible Ohio State employees receive comprehensive benefits packages, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition assistance for employees and their dependents, and state or alternative retirement options with competitive employer contributions.
