Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. You will be responsible for guiding and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients to ensure effective return to community activities. This role also involves serving as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers, and self while performing various professional duties associated with patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate in student programs, providing supervision, learning objectives, and evaluations.
• Engage in continuous professional development and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and other regulatory guidelines.
• Contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Active CPR certification.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where work will be performed.
