Program Details

The Weekend Incentivized Program is available to OT/PT/SLP professionals working in traditional patient care incentivized areas. Eligible therapists must have at least one year of recent experience in their field. Weekend hours start Saturday7:00am and end Sunday6:00pm.

• Therapists must work four weekend dates per month or twelve per quarter during the contract period.
• Therapists will sign a six‑month agreement and must complete a six‑month introductory period.
• Missing required weekend shifts results in removal from incentivized status.
• Unavailable shifts must be reported to the manager to arrange a replacement; otherwise the attendance policy applies.
• Participation precludes transfer during the agreement period and requires annual performance evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Collect and interpret diagnostic data for assessments, considering presenting symptoms and medical history.
• Perform patient assessment, develop treatment plans, and set patient‑specific goals.
• Document accurately, legibly, and timely according to department policies and regulatory agencies.
• Supervise and direct patient treatment activities of assistants as per department operations.
• Initiate patient care activities in a timely manner and adhere to treatment schedule guidelines.
• Ensure patient charges are captured and submitted within24hours of treatment.
• Complete the program specialist competency checklist and annual competencies when applicable.
• Demonstrate willingness to be cross‑trained as needed for credentials, licensure, and scope of practice.
• Assist in orienting new staff and/or students.
• Perform other functions assigned by the service line director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current Ohio OT license and certification by the National Board of Certification of Occupational Therapist.
• Minimum of one clinical rotation in a Rehabilitation Services setting.
• Valid driver’s license (HomeCare) and proof of auto liability insurance.
• Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, move, or ambulate patients (minimum50lbs).
• Ability to observe, analyze, and interpret patient responses.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Capability to manage aggressive patients (behavioral health).
  • May require periodic shift rotation, holiday or emergency shifts.
• Require travel between hospital floors, locations, and to drive where needed.
