Associate Immigration Attorney - Removal Defense

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Immigration Attorney specializing in removal defense in San Diego, California. This role offers a partner‑track opportunity for a driven attorney committed to immigration justice and deportation defense. Duties Handle a docket of immigration removal defense cases from inception. Engage in courtroom advocacy and legal analysis in removal defense proceedings. Cultivate referral relationships and contribute to firm visibility. Help shape strategic direction within the immigration removal defense practice. Requirements 3‑5 years of experience in immigration removal defense, EOIR proceedings, or BIA appeals. Demonstrated courtroom or hearing experience in immigration removal court. Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Commitment to serving immigrant communities facing removal proceedings. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA‑accredited law school. Certifications Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar. Skills Entrepreneurial mindset and readiness to grow within the firm. Benefits Health Insurance: 90% employer‑paid premiums.
