Staff Accountant

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly organized and analytical Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This role supports core accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail‑driven, comfortable working with large datasets, and capable of navigating a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post accurate journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close.Perform account reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy.Support the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports.Analyze variances and assist with resolving discrepancies across accounts.Maintain general ledger integrity through ongoing review and documentation.Assist with audit requests by preparing schedules and gathering supporting documentation.Collaborate with finance and cross‑functional teams to support accounting operations.Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
