Overview As a Specialist – Apparel at DICK’S Sporting Goods, you will provide a world‑class shopping experience for athletes, combining product knowledge, merchandising expertise, and exceptional customer service to drive sales and enhance brand experience. Responsibilities Deliver an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and provide clear, accurate product information. Anticipate athlete needs and actively drive sales through product and service recommendations. Assist with onboarding and training of new and existing team members as the subject‑matter expert, focusing on best practices, selling skills, and key operational processes. Serve as a go‑to expert in designated process categories, ensuring smooth execution and high productivity. Demonstrate efficiency and effectiveness in process execution while maintaining an athlete‑first mindset; ensure products are ready for purchase and athletes are engaged whenever they need. Uphold merchandising and presentation standards by following floor set plans, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards. Promote and drive customer participation in company programs (e.g., loyalty program, warranty sales, private‑label credit card enrollment). Create a welcoming store environment where teammates and athletes are treated with respect. Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures and applicable laws and guidelines. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 1‑3 years of relevant experience. Previous retail or customer‑facing experience preferred. Pay & Benefits Targeted Pay Range: $15.50 – $23.50 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on location, experience, and position offered. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage.
