Granite Partners is seeking a Recruiting Manager to expand the capacity, rigor, and impact of recruiting efforts across the Granite Companies. This person will lead searches for leadership, professional, and technical roles while strengthening sourcing strategy, research depth, and search process discipline. This newly created role reflects Granite’s continued investment in recruiting as a strategic capability. Reporting to the Talent Director, and working in close partnership with the Recruiting Partner, the Recruiting Manager will lead searches from role definition through candidate selection and onboarding. In doing so, this individual will serve as a trusted advisor to company leaders influencing key hiring decisions while contributing to the broader recruiting strategy and priorities established by the Talent Director and Recruiting Partner. Recruiting is a key differentiator in Granite Partners’ mission to grow companies and create value for all stakeholders. In this role, the Recruiting Manager will contribute directly to attracting top talent to the Granite Companies and building leadership capacity that supports sustainable growth and long‑term value creation. The Position As the Recruiting Manager at Granite Partners, you will lead and execute searches across leadership and senior‑level roles for the Granite Companies. You will partner directly with company leaders to define roles, design sourcing strategies, evaluate candidates, and guide hiring decisions, ensuring disciplined execution, strong candidate quality, and effective hiring outcomes. Working in close collaboration with the Talent Director and Recruiting Partner, you will operate within Granite’s broader recruiting strategy while independently managing designated searches. You will be accountable for search progress, candidate quality, stakeholder communication, and successful hiring outcomes. In addition to leading searches, you will strengthen the underlying engine of recruiting at Granite by deepening research capabilities, refining search processes, and expanding long‑term talent pipelines aligned with talent priorities. Search Leadership & Execution Lead full‑cycle searches for designated leadership, professional, and technical roles, including role definition, sourcing strategy, outreach, structured evaluation, reference process, and offer coordination. Partner with and manage external search firms and talent partners, aligning on search strategy, guiding candidate development efforts, and ensuring high‑quality, timely delivery of candidate pipelines. Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies using a variety of channels, including industry networks and associations, executive search databases, professional platforms (e.g., LinkedIn), referrals, and direct outreach. Leverage data and AI‑enabled insights to continuously improve sourcing strategies and hiring outcomes. Conduct deep candidate and market research, including market mapping, target company identification, and competitive talent analysis. Leads structured interviews, asks insightful follow‑up questions, and synthesizes feedback to support informed hiring decisions while ensuring a professional and engaging experience for all candidates. Build, maintain, and strengthen talent pipelines and candidate networks aligned with Granite Partners’ long‑term talent needs. Apply disciplined search processes to ensure consistency, rigor, and high‑quality candidate evaluation. Design and refine recruiting workflows that integrate AI and automation to improve efficiency, insight generation, and scalability. Leverage recruiting tools, systems, data, and insights (e.g., Encore, LinkedIn Recruiter, analytics) to inform decisions and continuously improve outcomes. Partner with the Talent Director and Recruiting Partner to align search execution with enterprise recruiting priorities. Contribute to continuous improvement of recruiting processes, tools, and best practices across the Granite Companies. Support broader enterprise talent initiatives and strategic projects aligned with Granite’s long‑term growth and sustainability objectives. Mentor interns and early‑career team members, sharing best practices in research, sourcing, and professional development. Partner with the Investing team, Human Resources leaders, and external talent partners to support talent diligence efforts for potential acquisitions. Conduct leadership analysis, including organizational structure, key roles, talent risks, succession considerations, and critical capability gaps. Support development of talent and leadership integration strategies that promote continuity, engagement, and long‑term wellbeing for acquired teams. Operate as a collaborative and flexible team member, contributing across recruiting priorities and Granite initiatives as needed. Participate in Granite community initiatives, affinity group support, and internal collaboration that advance Granite’s mission, vision, values, and objective. Qualifications & Qualities Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree with outstanding academic record. MBA or relevant professional certifications valued. Experience & Expertise Six or more years of progressive experience in recruiting, executive search, talent acquisition – preferably supporting multiple industries, functions, and/or leadership levels. Demonstrated success leading searches and managing recruiting processes from role definition through offer. Solid understanding of disciplined search processes, including role definition, sourcing strategy development, candidate evaluation, assessment support, and stakeholder communication. Experience partnering with senior leaders and navigating confidential situations with discretion and professionalism. Skills Strong research and analytical capabilities, with the ability to synthesize market insights and candidate information into clear, actionable recommendations. Proven ability to design and execute effective sourcing strategies for complex searches using networks, referrals, direct outreach, and research tools. Skilled in interviewing, candidate assessment and evaluation, with sound judgment in identifying leadership capability, cultural alignment, and long‑term fit. Ability to influence and guide hiring decisions through thoughtful communication, data, and candidate insights. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and maintain alignment with senior leaders throughout the search process. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present candidate profiles and search updates clearly and effectively. Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining organization and responsiveness. Digitally fluent, with the ability to leverage recruiting tools, systems, and data to improve outcomes. Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance research, sourcing, and candidate engagement. Locations The Recruiting Manager will be based in St. Louis Park, Minnesota with regular connection to the home office (Granite Innovations) in St. Cloud. This role is designed to be hybrid, balancing in‑person collaboration with flexibility. The Recruiting Manager will be present in the office periodically—generally one to two days per week—to support team collaboration, key meetings, and relationship‑based work. Additional travel to Granite Company locations and in‑person meetings will occur as needed. We offer a competitive base salary in the $110,000 to $140,000 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with an annual bonus and the opportunity to participate in a unique and powerful long‑term incentive program after two years of service.
