Design Engineer

We have a 12+ month contract (will be an option of going perm during the assignment if interested) located in near Phoenix, AZ. The key is the candidate needs to have experience with lighting systems. LED Lighting is a plus.

Job description

Electro-Mechanical Engineer to perform engineering work focused on designing, validating, and developing new designs for LED luminaries and lighting solutions. The role involves creating technical specifications, designing parts in Solidworks, and collaborating with various departments to ensure product integrity and compliance with standards.

• Construct luminaries to meet customer specifications

Skills

• Engineering Degree, BE, ME or EE

• 5 years of product design experience or 3 years of product design in the lighting field

• Ability to interpret standards

• Knowledge of Solidworks software designing and rendering

• Knowledge of OrCAD or equivalent software to generate schematics and gerber files

• Knowledge of injection molded plastic, die cast and sheet metal designs

• Knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes

• Knowledge of relational database such as Microsoft and MAS 500

• Knowledge of UL and IEC standards
