Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Active Nursing License Must-Have: - Experience in ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg - Willingness to float as needed Description: 25 bed Critical Access Hospital. Identifies patient and significant others' needs for patient education. Provides education utilizing appropriate modalities. Identifies and implements patient safety through preventative measures. Follows restraint policy correctly and evaluates/document appropriately. Demonstrates knowledge of safe operation of equipment in the Critical Care areas. Aware of troubleshooting techniques and follows procedures for essential equipment repair. Accesses equipment manuals as needed. Implements infection control and isolation procedures with proper documentation. Utilizes standard precautions at all times. Maintains complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and responses during assigned shifts. Documents charges accurately. Ensures accuracy and completeness of physician's orders in a timely manner. Completes 24-hour check of orders as required. Delivers change of shift reports to oncoming staff in a complete and accurate manner. Maintains communication with other departments accurately and completely. Reports critical lab values to physicians in a timely manner according to policy. Maintains and restocks emergency carts, rooms, and general supplies. Performs other duties as assigned. Holiday coverage required.
