Health Care Facilities Compliance Specialist

Under the direction of the Health Care Facilities Division (HFD) Financial Manager, this position provides division-wide contract compliance oversight for the Health Care Facilities Division. The role ensures that all contracts, procurement actions, and supporting documentation adhere to state and federal requirements, division policies, and internal controls. It conducts compliance reviews, monitors contractor performance, and evaluates contract risk, documentation accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards.

This position supports facility staff throughout the contracting and procurement lifecycle by assisting with scopes of work, RFP's, IFBs, and contract amendments, and by providing guidance on proper procedures and compliance expectations. It performs market research and rate analysis to support contract negotiations and cost-reasonableness determinations. The role also manages contract files and procurement data, ensuring audit readiness, accurate documentation, and timely renewals. Overall, the position serves as the division's primary resource for contract compliance, internal controls, regulatory interpretation, and contract monitoring.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity

  • Ability to make professional judgments through research and data analysis using analytical and quantitative techniques, and the procurement process, and to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel with a strong fluency in formulas and functions (e.g. Pivot Tables, Vlookup, charts, tables, and/or other related software packages)
  • Ability to work independently of direct supervision.
  • Meet minimum qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare, or related field.
    • Four years of support experience with contracts, and/or related high-level administrative support.
    • Experience in contract management and/or resource management is preferred.
    • Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
