Locum Physician Radiology Opportunity in Kittanning, PA

Join our dynamic radiology team as a locum physician in Kittanning, PA! Are you an experienced radiologist looking for a flexible and impactful opportunity in a vibrant community? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled locum physician radiology to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, starting April 28, 2026. This role offers the chance to utilize advanced imaging modalities in a supportive environment, ensuring excellent patient care while enjoying the flexibility of locum tenens work.

Required skills:

• Valid medical license and board certification in radiology
• Proficiency in onsite imaging modalities including XR, CT, MR, fluoroscopy, US, and NM
• Experience with subspecialty case types such as ER, neuro, peds, mammo, and nuclear medicine
• Skilled in performing light IR procedures, biopsies (thyroid, lung, liver, bone, renal, CT/US guided), drainages, lumbar punctures, and joint injections
• Strong diagnostic and interpretive skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Nice to have skills:

• Additional subspecialty training or experience in neuroradiology or pediatric radiology
• Familiarity with hospital-based workflows and electronic medical records
• Ability to handle high-volume case loads efficiently

Preferred education and experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board-certified in radiology
• Minimum of 3 years of post-residency experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in a hospital setting
• Prior locum or temporary radiology work highly desirable

Other requirements:

• Active state medical license in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain one
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Ability to work onsite; reliable transportation to Kittanning, PA
