Staff Accountant

Beacon Hill is hiring a Staff Accountant for a growing organization seeking a detail‑oriented accounting professional to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands‑on role, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and is looking to expand their accounting expertise while supporting key financial operations. Responsibilities Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial analysis. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner. Support cash management activities, banking transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations. Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for internal stakeholders and external auditors. Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with company policies. Research accounting issues, analyze variances, and recommend solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help strengthen internal controls. Provide backup support to members of the accounting team and assist with special projects as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1+ years of accounting experience; experience within financial services, banking, or a corporate accounting environment is a plus. Strong understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets. Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms preferred. Exposure to reporting or data automation tools such as Power Query, Alteryx, or Python is a plus.
