Construction Project Manager I

Next 150 Construction is seeking a Project Manager to serve as the on-site project manager responsible for supporting the overall direction, completion and financial outcome for various projects across the Midwest. Next 150 Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilbane, serves as the self-perform, equipment and materials arm for Gilbane Building Company. Your role will be to help supervise/mentor the project staff which may include multiple Project Engineers and Superintendents. This position will be on the job site every day and will be an integral part of not only the Next 150 project team, but will also serve as the foundation of a growing organization beyond the project.Who are we? ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership in motivating the project team and maintain a positive work environmentManage the project using established project controls and proceduresPerform constructability and coordination reviewsCommunicate with construction manager, architects and subcontractors related to project risk, timetables, costs/budgets, and change managementPerform pre-construction planning, scheduling, estimating and cost controlPrepare monthly reports including cost, schedule, safety, cash flow, etc. for internal and/or external useProvide jobsite leadership in the area of safety and qualityPrepare contingency plans for potential risks, expanding contractual services and project profitWork closely with accounting to prepare and review billing Attend jobsite coordination meetingsWork closely with onsite equipment planner and field crew for material and equipment planning and projectionsWork closely with field and labor crew on project planning and projectionsQualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBS OR MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management3-10 years of Project Management experience on projects valued at $50 million or largerOr equivalent combination of education and experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong technical and communication skills are criticalAbility to work in a team environmentKnowledge of Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (preferred)Experience coordinating trades and administiring subcontracts Estimating experience preferredExperience working in a self performing enviroment (having spent time working for a self-performing general contractor)Union experience a plusSalary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
