Job Title: RN Surgery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 03:00 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing Certifications: Advanced Life Support (within 6 months of hire), BLS Provider (within 1 month of hire) Must-Have: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision Description: Delivers professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. Performs circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition. Manages overall nursing care of patients before, during, and after procedures. Directly assists the operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure, as well as patient positioning. Prepares operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for use. Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a stressful environment. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Preferred experience in Orthopedics, trauma, General/GYN, Urology, and DaVinci robotics. Experience in Vascular and CVOR is a significant plus.
