Join our team at Owensboro Racing & Gaming and become a part of something bigger with Churchill Downs, Inc.—where tradition meets opportunity and excitement is just part of the job!Maintain the safety and security of guests, team members, and company propertyRespond to and assist with medical emergenciesVerify identification of all guests entering the gaming floor (must be 21+)Patrol the facility and parking areas on a scheduled basisMonitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential safety risksPrepare detailed reports of incidents and submit to appropriate departmentsEscort cash movements to and from the cage, as well as team members and guests upon requestRespond promptly and professionally to emergency situationsLead by example in enforcing safety protocols and guest service standardsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to remain calm and focused under pressureHigh level of integrity and professionalismAttention to detail and situational awarenessTeam leadership qualities and a proactive mindsetComfortable using technology (security systems, radios, documentation software)High School Diploma or GED requiredPrevious experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferredMust be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky Gaming/Racing LicenseFirst Aid, CPR, or AED certifications are a plusRegularly required to stand, walk, speak, hear, and use hands for extended periodsOccasionally required to sit and lift up to 50 poundsVision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and peripheral visionWork environments include: Office setting – moderate noise; Gaming floor – loud noise, possible exposure to cigarette smokeReasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions
