ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking aSeniorOptical SystemsEngineerto join ourSYLUXdevelopmentteam,workbased inGoletaCalifornia.TheSeniorOpticalSystems Engineercandidatewillcontribute tothe development ofoptical basedADAScameras, includingthermalinfrared, foradvanceddriverassistancesystems.

Major responsibilities:

Developoptical systemrequirements,support customer RFQ responses,contribute to thedevelopment ofnewoptics suppliers,improvecalibrationandsimplifyimage signal processingtechniques.Verifyproduct performance goalsare metthrough analysis and hands-on testing ofhardware.Apply problem solving techniquestoresolveissues arising duringdevelopment and production. Contribute to development and application of newlower costoptics technologies toreducecost.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum10+yearsexperiencedevelopingopticalsystemsfor automotiveand/or equivalenthigh qualitycamera systems,includingoptical designs,lenscomponentdesignspecifications,sourcingand testing.

• MS/Ph.D.inOptics,Physicsand/or Systems Engineering.

• Expertisewith optical design tools.

• Highvolume camera manufacturing experience, includingvalidation,PPAP, safe-launchand 8D troubleshootingprocesses.

• Familiaritywithalternateoptics technologiesfor reducedcost, e.g.,metalensesandmulti -leveldiffractive optics.
