Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping Specialist to join our logistics and warehouse operations team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient processing of shipments, ensuring timely delivery and accurate inventory management. Your expertise in shipping logistics, warehouse management systems, and customer service will drive seamless order fulfillment and support our commitment to excellence. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute shipping and receiving activities, including load and unload operations using forklifts, pallet jacks..
- Prepare shipments by packaging products securely, labeling accurately, and ensuring compliance with trade regulations and international trade standards.
- Manage inventory levels through data entry into inventory management software and ERP systems, maintaining accurate stock records.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track orders, update shipment statuses, and optimize warehouse distribution processes.
- Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve shipping issues promptly and provide updates on order status.
- Conduct regular stock checks, assist with order picking & packing, and ensure proper stocking procedures are followed.
- Support warehouse operations by participating in inventory management efforts, order fulfillment, and adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics roles with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for order processing and inventory counts.
- Valid certification for forklift operation or pallet jacks or willing to take the exam, and order pickers is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of shipping logistics, trade compliance, international trade regulations, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Excellent data entry skills combined with a customer service mindset to handle inquiries professionally.
- Physical ability to load/unload shipments safely and efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) Helpful.
- Again International Shipping and knowledge of LTL is highly important
We are offering great benefits and a competitive salary between $55,000 and $62,000 depending on experience.
