About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its Accident & Health division. The COO will be tasked with translating the division's strategy into effective and disciplined execution, with a focus on operational and service performance. This executive leadership role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including leading the operating capabilities to support strategic, growth, and financial objectives, driving expense efficiency, and ensuring operational excellence through process simplification, standardization, and automation. The successful candidate will be accountable for the end-to-end customer and business partner journey, with a strong emphasis on claims quality, responsiveness, and service. The COO will also be responsible for the technology and data roadmaps, driving modernization, and ensuring that investments deliver measurable business outcomes. Candidates for the COO position should have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and at least 15 years of leadership experience in insurance or financial services. The role requires a proven track record in improving operational and financial performance, as well as experience in leading significant operational transformation and technology-enabled change. The ideal candidate will have a strategic, commercial, and customer-focused mindset, strong operational and execution discipline, and the ability to lead effectively across organizational boundaries. Executive communication, relationship management, and influencing skills are essential, as is a strong orientation towards customer journey and service excellence. The COO will be expected to build and maintain strong external relationships and to partner with commercial, distribution, and marketing leaders to translate operational capabilities into market-facing value.
