Gastroenterology Health & Science Specialist - Los Angeles, CA

For our client, we are seeking a Gastroenterology Health & Science Specialist - Los Angeles, CA to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This remote field-based role focuses on driving specialty customer engagement across the gastroenterology landscape while supporting compliant promotion of therapeutic solutions. The specialist will build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and office staff, partner cross-functionally to improve access, and help optimize territory performance through a mix of in-person and digital selling. Success in this position will require strong disease-state fluency, comfort navigating reimbursement, and the ability to influence high-value specialty accounts. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $108,600 - $250,700 annually Responsibilities Drive customer engagement and sales performance through effective in-person interactions Build strong, compliant relationships with healthcare professionals and office staff Deliver approved promotional and disease-state messaging Leverage product and market knowledge to identify opportunities Support patient access with information on reimbursement and co-pay resources Collaborate with cross-functional partners to meet customer needs Utilize digital tools to plan and optimize territory activities Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (8+ years with an associate's degree or 10+ years with a high school diploma) Minimum 3 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device sales or marketing Experience in therapeutic-specific healthcare provider roles Preferred 3-5 years of specialty sales experience in Gastroenterology, immunology, or inflammation Strong understanding of complex disease states and specialty reimbursement processes Experience engaging key opinion leaders and high-influence accounts Proficient in digital engagement tools and hybrid selling models Benefits 401(k) plan with matching contributions Paid vacation, holiday, and personal days Paid caregiver/parental and medical leave Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage Sales incentive bonus Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
